Chapel/Mission Center Update
|

The DEDICATION of the
renovated CHAPEL and new MISSIONS CENTER
was held on Sunday, December 7 at 9:00 AM.
On Friday, December 7, 2007 the first wall of the Missions Center was "raised" into position. Since then, many volunteer hours have been dedicated to this project. During these months, friends of Providence have donated materials and labor. Volunteers have worked every week, and the finished building was dedicated on December 7, 2008. Several events are already scheduled for the facilities including the "Room In The Inn" and "Family Promise" programs for the homeless.

Progress on the Children's Ministry Building.

The picture above shows the bricks being laid on the exterior wall. And with the completion of the roof, the interior work can progress. Although the building is two stories, only the first floor is being completed at this time. Ground-Breaking for this new facility was on Sunday, December 17. After a delay during the permitting process, construction is now fully underway. While the outside work progresses, the renovation of the kitchen, restrooms, and the HVAC system is occurring also. Pictures of the building progress on the Children's Ministry Building can be viewed under the "Fall 2008" page.
