CALLING ALL USED CELL TELEPHONES
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Many victims of domestic violence pray for a long-term solution, while many of them require a more immediate intervention. Donating your old cell telephone can be an answer to their prayers. In an effort to help victims of domestic violence, the Domestic Violence Interfaith Community is partnering with the Women's Commission in collecting old, used, unwanted cell telephones.
DID YOU KNOW?
A cell telephone can be programmed to call 911, regardless of whether or not the user has purchased a service plan. Providing cell telephones to a domestic violence victim (or potential victim) allows them to call 911 in the event of an emergency. Telephones can be brought to the church and placed outside the Parish Nurse's office. For more information, please contact the Women's Commission at 704.432.1568.
