We are a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship congregation located in the Cotswold neighborhood of Charlotte. Our guiding vision is to place Jesus Christ at the center of everything we do, both as a gathered community of faith and as individual followers of Jesus.
Vacation Bible School
This summer at VBS, kids will use their investigative skills to dig into the Bible and discover Jesus. On this journey of discovery with many twists and turns, children will learn to ask questions, work with others, shine their light in the world, follow Jesus' example of serving others, and trust Jesus when things go wrong. Grab your water bottle, bring a friend, and come along!

Providence cares about people, and Providence people are good at building relationships, extending hospitality, and welcoming newcomers into our community of faith and onto our church campus. We know this because we experienced it ourselves when we first came to Providence.
But what about those people we don’t know— who have yet to set foot on our campus, or even have yet to be born?

In September, Providence welcomed author and prayer-bead artisan Kristen Vincent as our guest preacher. Following worship, Kristen led a Deepening Faith workshop where participants created their very own prayer bead chaplet. It was a meaningful event for all!

On Sunday, pets gathered at the gazebo to be blessed on St. Francis’ feast day. You can pray for and bless your pets and animals at home this week too! A verbal blessing and treat can be offered in your backyard,m or anywhere inside your home.
Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air, and animals on the land. You inspired St. Francis to call all of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless this pet. By the power of your love, enable it to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for all your beauty in creation. Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen.

This month at Midweek, Providence hosted an intergenerational series called End of Life Preparation with Faith. We learned about making end of life decisions and how our advanced planning will assure that we get the care we would like as we make thoughtful choices. These sessions will be available on the Pastoral Care page of our website. We hope this will be a good starting point for discussion between you and those closest to you.

We enjoyed gathering again for Midweek at Providence! Our new hospitality chef, Carl, prepared the Fellowship Hall as a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy a great meal and fellowship around the table. After dinner, classrooms came alive with missions, music, and faith formation for all ages!
